Grade 4 Curriculum
Tutoring in Grade 4 Math, Language, and Science in alignment with the Ontario curriculum guidelines.
Number Sense:
Understanding numbers up to 10,000, mastering addition, subtraction, and multiplication (up to 9x9), introduction to long division, and working with fractions (comparing, ordering).
Algebra:
Identifying and extending complex patterns, using variables in simple equations, and solving multi-step problems involving equality.
Geometry and Spatial Sense: Classifying polygons, understanding angles (right, acute, obtuse), and working with lines of symmetry. Using grids to describe location and movement.
Measurement:
Measuring and converting units of length, mass, capacity, and area, understanding perimeter and area of shapes, telling time in 24-hour format, and solving problems involving money.
Data:
Collecting and organizing data into charts and graphs, understanding range, mode, median, and interpreting more advanced data representations. Exploring simple probability concepts.

Understanding Life Systems: Investigating plant growth and changes, parts of plants, their needs, and the importance of plants to ecosystems.
Understanding Matter and Energy: Exploring forces and motion, identifying different types of forces (pushes, pulls), and understanding how forces affect movement.
Understanding Earth and Space Systems:
Studying soils in the environment, types of soil, and their roles in plant growth and ecosystems.
